Miss Pelt in Cyprus

Miss Pedantia Pelt or, to you and me, more commonly Miss Pelt, is a Brodie-esque former English teacher with a Scottish lilt who spends much of her time wandering the world seeking out treasures in signage. She does find some absolute beauties....recently in Cyprus she spotted this on the Pyla Road:

So, let me get this right, I only need to worry about the accelerator and the clutch and they'll do the rest for me? A third less footwork whilst driving is jolly kind of them!

Down on the Dhekelia Road, Miss Pelt singled out an innocent supermarket for her next target:

Two spellings of 'souvenir' (which, to be fair, isn't the easiest word to spell and is indeed spelt 'suvenir' in some languages), sent Miss Pelt into a photographic frenzy. What caught her eye even more was the use of two words she thought would be never be seen together in a million years: 'romantic' and 'supermarket'! Love in the aisles, serenading a stranger over a packet of sausages, passing bashful glances across the cheese counter... we can see it all now the 'creme de la creme'!
